My mixed media assemblages are inspired by Victorian mourning art and explore the themes of love, loss and grief. The traditional purpose of mourning art is to symbolically represent the loss of a loved one to death, to console those who grieve, and to convey the idea that love continues beyond death.

Kym Hepworth received her B. in Painting from Moore College of Art and Design. in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design. She is currently making art and lives with her husband and fellow artist, Robin Miller.
