Wednesday, March 28, 2018. South America, Day 15 - 03 Mar 2018. Last bird of the trip was seen early this morning when I photograph what appears to be a Pomarine Jaeger. Flying out from the ship. Its bulky shape, thin necklace and dark markings along the flanks appear to be good match. The next day and a half would yield no more birds until we reach Miami. South America, Day 14 - 02 Mar 2018. Magnificent Frigatebirds, Brown Pelicans, Royal. Foraged in shallow ponds left.

Saturday, 16 December 2017marked the 48th Monroe, MI Christmas Bird Count in conjunction with the 118th National Audubon Society Christmas Bird Count. Highlights of the count included 4 count week Turkey Vultures. Fly-over, four Eastern Meadowlarks. Migration over Lake Erie that yielded 18,000 birds in approximately 30 minutes time. Stream out of the phragmites patch just across the street.
