Sometimes I contemplate a design for quite awhile before the necklace or pendant comes together as in the case of the Qigong pieces. At other times I can sit down in my studio and make a necklace as if it was already there waiting for me. That was the case with this piece. It was a 50th birthday gift for my sister-in-law and I wanted it to be both meaningful and stunning. Once the earrings were finished my gift was complete.
