Friday, July 3, 2015. My Texas star hibiscus started with a seed from a friend. It has survived more than ten winters and steamy summers. The glossy, true red petals add brilliance to the garden. Monday, June 29, 2015. The morning light was golden when I stepped outside. The contrast between the pale petals and the deep burgundy center is dramatic and striking. I experimented with a smudge filter on this last image.
