Thursday, March 29, 2007. Phil and I talked through several ideas for writing this first joint effort. Should it be upbeat, a delightful story of life here? Loss here in Zambia is endemic, virtually pandemic; always plenty of sadness to write about also.

These are just a few of the volunteers from Luanshya who gathered last Christmas 2007 to celebrate another year of the Zambian Community Schools. The lady in red on the far left is Grandma Leslie Wallace who is helping at the Mwaiseni community school. All the Teachers are unsalaried volunteers.
